Default 2006 Trailblazer HVAC/Heat controls and no display

display is not lit up.
Hello, Newb here.Did a search but could not find anything specific to my problem? The display is completely black on the HVAC control module and have no response to temperature/fan speed or recirc or other controls. The problem is intermittent When the display goes very dim or completely black is when functions stops working.Disconnected the battery for 24 hrs.and pulled all fuses that the system uses. Replaced all fuses and reconnected battery, Started vehicle and the display was dim but all the controls worked and the ac/heat both worked.Got out of vehicle to close the hood and got back in and the display was black and fan blowing cold air! Anyone else had this scenario!

Could be lots of things. Fuses not making good contact with a receptacle is one I have encountered. Something is cutting off power to your heater control. Corrosion is one reason or wires gone south. Might be the relay as well.

Thanks Oilcanhenry, where would the relay be located? in the fuse panel under the left rear seat or under the hood in the fusebox?

GM has moved most of the relays to the box under the hood in the engine bay. Should be a diagram showing the relay on the underside of the cover..

@Colton kfxx400 hasn't visited the forum in 4 years. You're probably better off making a new post. Make sure you include all your details.
