2007 Trailblazer OBD 0441 Secondary Air Injection Sys Fail
I have a 2007 TB with 199k. Truck runs great but I can't get the stupid Secondary Air Injection system to run correctly and I need to pass NJ inspection. Obd 0411. I changed the check valve solenoid thing, checked the pump (good pressure coming from the pump) and relay and fuses, all good. The system runs correctly. It comes on for 20 seconds on a cold start and shuts off. Check engine light came back on in like 5 miles. So, I took the solenoid off and somewhat cleaned the ports where it bolts into the the head but I couldn't get my wire too far into the hole. I used carb cleaner and various implements. I got the carb cleaner to get through and into the exhaust system. I thought I had it but the check engine light came back on in 75 then 86 miles. So I tried to clean it out more but I can't seem to get anything more than 2 inches or so into the port. Any ideas? Does anyone know what direction the port goes when it turns into the head or what better than a wire to use to get the port cleaned out? If I can't get it fixed, is there a way to delete it from the ecm or whatever it's called. Also, the cat seems to be good.
