Only have 1000 miles on our new 2017 Trax LT and it has developed a rubbing/low pitched grinding noise when the steering wheel is turned. Even when turning the wheel just slightly left or right it is heard. Annoying enough to have my wife upset about it when the radio is not on. Did not have this noise when we took delivery about 6 weeks ago.

 

Take it back to the dealer , obviously still under warranty . Might be a lack of lubrication where it goes thru the firewall .
