Another transmission issue. Not what you think
So I have an 08 trailblazer 2lt with a 4.2 and 4wd. Had the dreaded 3-4 clutch pack symptoms in January. Took the blazer to a pretty famous YouTube tuner to rebuild the trans. He rebuilt the trans and installed an aftermarket trans cooler and everything worked great for about 8k miles. The blazer started acting up again showing similar symptoms but not quite the same. It wouldnt shift from second to 3rd u less you shifted it manually. Once it went into 3rd, you could put it in drive and it would upshift, downshift, and drive as normal as it should. Since I live about 2.5hrs away from the shop, I called and explained the symptoms so that if there was something I could do up here I wouldnt have to tow the car back down. He said judging by the symptoms, there could be a spec of debris stuck in a shift solenoid or one of the valves that isnt allowing the valve to fully open or close and to "beat on it" a little bit and shift it manually for a while and it should bump the fluid pressure up higher and force the debris out. I asked him if I should just flush the fluid and change the filter and he told me no, just bring it back down. So I had it towed back down. It had been down there for a month and a half with no update and for the last almost 3 weeks i e been trying to contact his shop and him through the phone number for his shop and ALL of his social media with no answer. So tonite I happened to be down in the area and picked up the blazer from the shop and still has exact same symptoms. Sometimes works fine, sometimes wont shift out of 2nd gear. I went to school for auto mechanics so I am handy and can do most things myself but i am actually clueless with auto trans. There is NO check engine light and I've heard that if there's an issue with the shift solenoids it will trip the light. Kind of stuck as of where to go next. I paid this guy $2700 to rebuild the trans and now he doesnt seem to be able to help me. Where do i go next?

I know you wont do any of this, but thats on you.
Youtube mechanic? Is he related to Scottie Kilmer? 2.5 Hours to drive to this "expert"?? Something smells like dead fish here
No, hes a pretty popular guy on youtube.. I dont want to throw any names out there yet but if you follow any automotive youtubers, you probably know who it is. He builds race cars. He is legit. He builds trannys to handle high horsepower for the cars he builds. I dont want to talk down about the shop in case it was an honest mistake. I'm currently trying to work out a financial deal to just take the Blazer to Aamco and have them diagnose and repair the transmission and tell me exactly what went wrong and then if it was a build issue then I will be returning but if it is a issue elsewhere then I'm probably just going to bite the bullet

Not into Asian crap cars like he is, else I would not be a Chevy fan but no ones perfect.
.Dont know how I have pulled 350,000 miles out of the 97 Chevy I owned if they are that bad.
