Question Check engine light for low than normal collant temperature

My check engine light comes on periodically throwing a code for the coolant temperature being lower than normal even though the temp guage is always in the same normal spot at about 180ish and fluids are all full at propper level. I'm thinking coolant temperature sensor maybe? :/

PO128 Coolant thermostat below regulating threshold?

Very common on these trucks. Make sure fan clucth is not staying locked always. Make sure coolant is full. 98% of the time replacing the t-stat fixes it. The code means it is not getting hot fast enough.

You have a thrmostat that is stuck open. If the engine does not warm up within a specified amount of time, the SES light will come on. Its an easy fix, remove DS tire, use a few extentions to access the 2 bolts that hold on the T-stat and replace.

You will need to loosen (not remove) the alternator to gain access to bolts. It's about a 2 hour project.
