Default collant coming exaust donuts on passenger side

So I could not start my truck. Ends up that I had it on the hoist and when my friend started it he had to it the starter like 10 times and it started. Then water coolant came pouring out the mesh donut on the passenger side exhast. So this all started because I lost my thermostat and it heated up twice to 240 degrees. There does not appear to be coolant in the oil. So I am going to replace the intake manifold and head gaskets. Do you guys have any tips? Can I replace the head gaskets with the engine still in the truck? Any thoughts??

Thanks Ron

Could also be a cracked head.

Should be able to do it with engine still in the truck.

Thanks slw210. I looked at it again tonight and my concern was getting a torque wrench in to get to the bottom head bolts and be able to use the wrench accuratley. I am pretty sure I can. I plan to send heads to have magnaflux to check for cracks. If one is cracked it will cost over $600 for new heads. Well at that point I will probably get a crate engine from NAPA for $1650 Thanks for the help
