Default Code P0449 2006 Trailblazer

Ok I have had the code checked at Oreilly Auto Parts and I have replaced the Purge Valve and the Gas Cap the check engine light is still coming back on after I reset the system and erase the codes. What else could this be I have been trying to do all the work myself because I don't have money to pay a mechanic for something simple. Any help on this topic would be greatly appriciated!

p0449 is a vent valve solenoid dtc; don't know why your changing the purge solenoid or gas cap?

disconnect the connector to the vent valve, supply power and grd to the vent valve. It should click when powered up and when power is removed. If its doesn"t, the solenoid is bad.

Thanks I didn't think there was a difference because when I went to Oreilly the parts they showed for this code was the purge solenoid. I will go look on the gas tank and see if I can locate the Vent Valve.
