I have a 2003 chevy trailblazer and my issue is that sometimes when i turn the key to crank the car all the lights are on and everything else is fine but there is like a 1 or 2 second pause/silence before it starts to crank but its only sometimes most of the time it starts right up what do you think the issue could be ?

 

Which engine does your 2003 have?

When this "pause" happens what do the instrument panel lights do? If you turn your headlights on and then try and start your engine, do the headlights stay the same, dim a little or dim a lot during this pause? Also, if the radio is turned on, what does it do when the "pause" occurs?

How old is your battery and have you had it load tested? Also, have you cleaned your battery to battery cable connections?
