So I know the exact moment my gauge stopped working. I pulled off on the side of a road and it was an embankment that was pretty steep so my trailblazer was sideways. Ever since that moment I haven’t been able to get a reading on my gas gauge. Does anyone know what it could be? Also my AC works at 1, 2, and 3 but 4 and 5 do nothing. Maybe some of you have ran into the same issues and have some solutions. Thanks a lot. Appreciate it.

 

My first thought is that the sending unit electrical connector got loose or damaged. Can you reach up there somehow? I've not had to deal with gas tank issues so I don't know how tight a fit it is up there.

 

Welcome from Florida. Sitting sideways like you say, the float on the fuel pump assembly may be stuck somehow. If it is stuck the only way to fix it is to remove the fuel pump and free it or maybe replace the fuel pump after all the work to remove it. You will need to replace your blower motor resistor to get 4 and five speeds working again.

 

Maybe tap on the bottom/side of the tank with a rubber mallet and see if you can jar it loose. Maybe hyper extended being on slope like you described, and just needs a little help to get free?
