Hello all!

My wife was given a 02 TB (2WD 4.2L V6) from her mom. Good deal right? Well I drove it to work last week to see how it ran and check it out... First I noticed it is only averaging about 19MPG, and my commute is 80% hwy miles. For a 2WD drive midsize SUV I wasn't too impressed with it. One of my other vehicles is a 01 F150 with a 5.4L, 35's and 3" lift and it gets 15-16 Hwy...

So my question to all you TB experts, What have y'all done to better your MPG? I am sure there are mods to get you in the mid 20's correct? The TB seems like a very nice vehicle, just want to make it more economical...

19MPG on a Trailblazer is good. I had an 03 and got around 15 in the city and about 19 hwy. Consider yourself lucky. By the way the engine is a straight 6 not a V6.

 

Yea noticed that when under the hood yesterday. Just figured in today's day and age it would be a V6. With the S6 it's no wonder it has torque it has... So 19 is the best she is going to get.. lol
