Default removing the fill plug for transfer case to check fluid level

Hi.

I am seeing a lot of oil around my 2008 TB transfer case. I wanted to check the oil level but unable to remove the fill plug. My research online indicated that I need a 10mm allen wrench but what I am seeing is a 4-sided bolt plug. Is there such thing as a 4 sided wrench? What I am
looking at here and what kind of bit do I need?

Thanks.

I found that grinding down the end of the socket until it was flat helped it sit better in the plug. You need a 10 mm Allen wrench for the rear differential. Make sure you get the right fluid for the TC. You can't just throw anything in there.
