RWD engine put into a 4wd trailblazer
I bought a 2006 4.2 Trailblazer and the engine blew so I bought another engine and had a mechanic put it in. Turns out the engine I bought was a RWD not a 4wd but it goes down the road. I am surprised it fit with no questions, what future problems am I looking at? Do I just keep the selector at 2wd and I will be fine or am I looking at a major problem?
Help!I have searched the internet and no answers

EDIT: added a part to my comment
Alright I'd like to understand this and I apologize if this counts as ghost posting but what is this all referring to? Did he buy the incorrect front differential or is there something I am missing about motors that this concerns? It was my understanding that the motor options for the trailblazer all came with a 4WD option and therefore could be swapped into a 4WD compatible vehicle, what exactly am I missing here?
I understand that if one purchased a motor and transmission together and swapped both this would of course cause an issue as a 2WD transmission is different to a 4WD compatible one and will be missing some features but couldn't this simply be fixed by mating the 4WD transmission to the new motor? the 4.2 I6 the trailblazer offered was compatible with 4WD as was the V8 the SS had, so am I missing something or what?
