Should we buy a warranty?
Found a 2004 Trailblazer w/ 63000 miles in excellent condition.
I've had warranties in the past and always said I would never buy one again.
I wonder if anyone has any opinion on this particular model year's reliability and any major repair issues.
Past experience with warranties always came down with a fight at the dealer

I think you're always going to get mixed reactions regarding the purchasing of warranties... I've had them with all of my vehicles - better safe than sorry... just make sure that the warranty company is legit - I got burned for $1700 by one...
Thanks for you reply CdnGman - Well, I bought a 2004 LS and did get a warranty for 30 months. I think I'm sleeping better. Wonder if you think it was worth it for you in the past to purchase your warranties?
The sad part is that purchasing a warranty is exactly like having car insurance: you hope you never have to use it, but it's nice to know you have it.
But just like Bill's Dad said, once you get near the end of the period, that's the time to start looking at things that much closer - I'd rather have someone else pay for something than have to pay for it myself.

I do keep a close eye on everything though, especially near the ending date.
