TraverseChevrolet's full size Crossover. Introduced in the model year 2009, the Traverse is a stylish and highly fuel efficient cross between a powerful SUV and a spacious minivan.
I am hoping y'all can help me with this. I just changed the cabin air filter in my daughters Corolla and thought I should do the same for my wife's Traverse. When I pull down the glove box I was baffled as there are no clips to remove the air filter. There are a couple of T20 screws which I removed. I was still no able to open this as there are some on the side that looks like I would have to take apart the dash. While I am willing to do this it seems a tad silly of Chev to do this for an air filter. I did pry the plate apart slightly and it does not look like this model has a filter in there.
So big question does the LT2 not have a filter? is it located somewhere else (check the engine bay already)?
Yours does not have a cabin filter. The box has provisions for one though so if you actually wanted to add one, you can. You'd need to cut the plastic filler and get a filter and door.
Check out TSB 10-01-37-002. There are pics on a few forms where people have added the filter.
