My '97 K1500 170K miles has the P1870 hard shift. works great otherwise. Fluid is clean, no slipping, etc. I am looking at parts and it seems like a new or rebuilt valvebody with new solenoids, harness, and updates and new control valve is the way to go. Thinking I should also install a shift kit at the same time. Can anyone recommend a trustworty vendor and is there anything else I should do while the valve body is out?
