Default AWD or 2WD?

I am looking at purchasing either a 2009 AWD Traverse 1LT or a 2010 2WD Traverse LT. Is there any advantage to AWD? Thank you.

Good afternoon gmblue,

With the AWD feature, engine power is always sent to all four wheels. It is fully automatic, and adjusts itself as needed for road conditions and lends for greater This may affect fuel economy when compared with FWD.

if you drive in winter road conditions the awd is fantastic. If you don't, get the fwd. the fwd is has better fuel economy and will be cheaper to service, maintain and purchase.
