Default Back-up Sensor - replace - 2009 Traverse

Someone apparently thought it would be funny to push in one of my back-up sensors. Now i Have to disable the back-up to view my display. I took it by the dealer, and a tech went to the book, showing a very simple (6 screws) remedy. However, when I took those off, ti was just the outer bumper shell, and was still attached. I did not want to force it, so I put it back. There has to be an easy way to get to the sensor, so I can put it back in it's bracket. I've looked all over the web, hoping to find an answer...this is my last resort. Hate to take it to the shop and have them charge me to do something that would seem to be rather simple.
Thanks
