Replace your speakers with a known brand of replacement speakers (Pioneer , Alpine, Sony) . GM uses crap $`10 speakers on their standard radios and they bite the dust about 5-6 years in . All alarms and chimes are broadcast thru the driver side front speaker so if speaker is bad you wont hear them .
