The first thing to always do with electrical problems is to check all of your fuses.

starting point; the chimes are produced by the radio and MIGHT broadcast out the l/f speaker.

check for radio fault codes with a scan tool. you will need a scan tool that reads body codes. if the radio doesn't work, you won't have chimes. if you checked all the radio fuses...pull the radio and check for power and grd at the radio wiring harness. if power and grd are present. the radio is nfg. if you replace the radio with aftermarket...you will also need a chime module to produce the chime sounds.

Your driver side speaker is probably trashed. GM used cheap $10 speakers in their cars for the standard radio and inevitibly they go bad . I have a 2008 Ascender which GM made and have replaced all 4 of mine with Pioneers and have never had another issue . All the sounds for the dash and alarms run thru the front driver side speaker .

could someone please tell me where to locate the speaker fuse?!
I see a fuse for EVERYTHING but the speaker fuse.
Is there even a fuse dedicated strictly for the speakers?

no. I've never seen a speaker fuse. Shorting a speaker wire usually doesn't have any cataclysmic consequences.
