Phantom Light
While the exact light was not mentioned in the different Traverse Owner's Manuals, this thread from an Acadia forum may help to answer your question: http://www.acadiaforum.net/index.php...3911#msg173911

this orange light is available on all lambdas as far as I know.
You probably had not noticed it because your nightime drives were in the city? lots of light possibly?
But in dark areas- mtns, desert etc-- the light is a very nice way to light up your center console.
My Travese is black on the inside. so at night- its pretty dark in the vehicle.
when any light comes in- light colors- light up...
so this little orange light lights up anything that appears in its range. key cards, white drink containers, maps etc.
It is also tied in with the cluster lighting levels.
