I have run into this problem twice now. The Stabilitrak will shut off and the vehicle loses power. When you accelerate the vehicle has a very violent sputter and will not engage. However, if the acceleration is gradual it can get up to an average speed. I need help to find out what is going on with this. I have seen others with Tahoe's and Suburban's indicating that they are having the same problem. The vehicle also needed to have a full rebuilding of the transmission at 120K.

 

possible misfire. have the codes read
whenever a fault occurs in a system that stabilitrac needs to operate...stabilitrac will be disabled. a misfire is one of those conditions.
