Default 2016 Traverse -- Programming Key Fob for Seat Memory

I recently bought a 2016 Traverse LTZ. While I have programmed the seat memory for users 1 (me) and 2 (my wife), no one -- including the folks at Chevrolet's "help desk" -- seems to know how to program the key fobs so that hitting the "Unlock" button on the fob moves the seat to one or the other location. Currently, hitting "Unlock" moves the seat to what I presume was the setting for the prior owner. The User Manual clearly contemplates that setting a key fob to a particular memory number (1 or 2) is doable, but actually doesn't describe how to do it. I also drove a (fellow-Lambda-model) Buick Enclave for years, and know that it was doable with that key fob.

Does anyone know the programming steps? Thanks.

DJ
