There is a yellow sludge on the oil filler cap. This sludge has been there for 2 years. I mostly drive short distances, but even when I drive long distances, I still see this sludge. The coolant in the expansion tank does not run out immediately, but I do notice it decreasing. Our cars have an oil cooler. I’m wondering if the oil cooler is faulty, and if so, how I can diagnose it myself. Secondly, could it be that my head gasket is leaking, and if so, how can I detect it?
