Trax tires bad too soon?
Hi there, new to the forums.
I got my 2018 Trax AWD LT inspected today by my dealership, and they told me I need new tires. But that seems odd to me because it only has 13,000 miles on it and I’m only 21 months into my 36 month lease — I only drive it twice a week on city streets. It has it’s factory installed tires. It’s my second lease, I had a 2014 Equinox AWD 4 year lease prior and turned it in with 29,000 mi. and no issues with those tires when I turned it in, also factory installed. I had this issue once before with my 2005 Colorado Crew Cab, but I assumed it was because it was a stick and I did drive that one a lot more before I got a job closer to home.
Yes, I realize a lease doesn’t really cover the tires so I’m just wondering if it’s something with the Trax or that brand of tires they used. I thought tires should last around 25,000. The Trax itself is nice but I’m switching back to the Equinox when the lease is up.
And side note to the forum owners, there’s an ad or something on your site that’s causing an error message and makes the site reload. I had this all nicely typed out and that error refreshed the page and I lost my post. I hope I remembered everything I originally had in that post. Had to type this up in my Notes and paste it in.
