just seems like a common problem for a lot of these vehicles....my heater works great while driving....but i can let my 07 sit and idle for 10-15 minutes first thing in the morning or anytime of day turn on the heat and hardly any warm air comes out if any...
Have you had the cooling system serviced lately?

how would i rectify this air lock? my rad just blew on my Uplander a couple days ago...had it replaced and the coolant system flushed and refilled. There was no heat so i returned to the shop that did the job and they told me they had to backflush the system cause there was some type of blockage in the heater core or somewhere else which i figured was bull**** on there part. It blew more heat when the rad was leaking than the new one does.I live in Canada and its very cold not having heat is a huge issue especially with kids in my vehicle, how can i rectify this issue? I'm sorry if i seem irritated but i havent had any clear answers on this issue....thank you in advance....:-)

Tell the people who replaced the radiator that you will stop payment/sue in small claims if they don't get it working correctly.
You rectify the issue by getting the job done correctly.
All the best.

toskala112, before assuming the worst... do some basics, check the cooling fluid level, make sure its at the proper level... many systems will burp or purge themselves, but they can't do that if there is not enough fluid to fill the system after a few heat and cool down cycles...
If the fluid level is good, consider returning to the place you had it serviced and ask them to at least look it over, it could have been a minor over site or something they can remedy at no cost to you...
