Did the van come from the Peterborough area originally or was it from somewhere else like, say, North Bay?

Good luck.

Right on.

A good mechanic can install an oil pressure gauge and see what the pressure is doing under normal operating conditions. I'm not sure if the 3.9 engine has an internal oil pressure by-pass or relies on one built into the oil filter. Manufacturers have used both methods. I'm sure a good tech will get you straightened away ......

At 146k klms you are ready for new spark plugs and automatic transmission service (new filter & oil). Don't neglect those if you are going to keep the vehicle.

Good luck

I also have an 07 uplander. I also get a low oil pressure message and chime. Doesn't start until the engine warms up and is on the higher the RPMs and higher outside temps. The oil and filter have been changed recently. It's been doing it for a few thousand miles with no burned oil, oil loss, loss in performance, high temperature, or any other indication it's an actual problem beyond a sensor. Does anyone have a good diagram, picture, of the oil pressure switch location beyond "it's above the oil filter"?
Also does anyone know how to disable the chime? (For now or if a sensor change doesn't work). Driving an hour to and from work listening to it chime drives me nuts. I'm ready to kill it with fire by the time I get to work.
Thanks in advance.

I also have an 07 uplander with the exact same issue. It has 133k miles on it. Just wondering if you have figured out the problem since your post?

Where do you live?
How long have you owned the vehicle?
When did the low pressure chime begin to sound? .. Last week, last month last year?
What brand/weight oil are you using?
What brand/model of oil filter are you using?

I live in south lyon, Michigan. I've had the uplander for 2 1/2 years, bought it with 87k miles on it. The chime started about 1 1/2 months ago, I get regular oil changes with Castrol GTX 5w30 high mileage oil, not sure of oil filter brand. I have oil changes done at Walmart. I've checked my oil several times and it's not low.

tackleberry30:
Have you had the oil & filter changed since the chime started. I don't suspect the oil but I do suspect the filter.
Good luck.

Yes I have, twice actually. I did notice the chime started not long after an oil change. It wasn't after the most recent change, but the one before that. With the amount of driving I do I usually am at the 3,000 mile mark every two months. So I get more frequent oil changes.
