Does anyone know why when I start my engine it makes a vacuum noise within a minute and the display in dash reads (your A/C is turned off to protect your engine)

 

Never seen that one before. I have a LS and the vacume noise is normal its the intake sucking air + when the vehical is cold the rpm will be higher so will the noises till it warms up.if its really loud you might have a vacume leak might wanna take it to a dealler and ask if its normal they might have a TSB on it.
