Hello All,

I am driving a 2006 Uplander LT with an inflator in the back. When I start the car, I hear a rumbling/vibrating noise in the rear of the van for about 5 seconds. This noise goes away and comes back periodically while I drive.

Today, as my wife was driving, I sat in the back seat and could hear the noise kick on every couple of minutes. It seems like the inflator is kicking on and off because when the noise starts, I can push the inflator button on and then off and the noise stops.

I have read that the traction control system can make a noise when starting the vehicle (which makes me think it could be that, but why would pushing the inflator button cause it to stop?).

Does anyone have any feedback as to:
1. What the noise could be.
2. What I could do to get rid of it.

Your compressor pump is probably trying to keep up the air pressure because you may have a air loss in your system.
