Angry 5W30 vs 10W30

I have a 2006 Uplander and the mechanic servicing my vehicle yesterday put in 10W30 instead of 5W30. What are the ramifications of this? Should I get it changed to the right oil, or is it okay to run it like that? I live on balmy Vancouver Island (except for this winter). He also used an oil filter for a Pontiac Montana.

Thanks, Inari

Lighter weight, is easier cranking. If you live in a cold climate, consider the 5w-30.

Default Montana and Uplander use same Oil filters

Thank you!

I found this out this morning on the mechanic's "Invoice" and parts sku #, which I used to check it out at NAPA.
