Any tips or specs for removing rear coil springs?
Hey guys, I'm going to replace the rear coil springs from my '08 Cargo Uplander LWB and not having a manual, was wondering if anyone had torque tightening specs?
I don't have time to take it anywhere since it's my work van and I've worked on my cars most of my life off and on but I've never messed with rear beam axle suspensions.
I was thinking basically jack the van up sufficiently, rest it on rear jack stands, then stick a jack under the rear beam, unbolt and slowly lower enough to get springs out? Any tips on how to get the springs out?
I work 12+ hour days 5-6 days a week so once the rear coil springs arrive, I'll make some time to tackle it.
Thanks for the input guys,
Jeremy

Did your van have spacers on the rear coils??
I had to replace my coils a few years back and forgot about the spacers. Since then I'm riding really low and its driving me crazy. I'm looking to get more to put on.
Thx

was this a tough job?
i believe i have seen a youtube video on this topic.
i dont know torque specs but i usually go to the library because they have free access to alldata, chilton, and another one too. between alldata & chilton i can usually find everything i can ask for
