Default Automatic headlights

Have something weird going on with my automatic headlights. They work only during the winter when there is either frost or snow on the vehicle, when it’s warm nothing even if I cover the vehicle with a tarp or something so it’s completely in the dark and nothing not even at night, they still don’t work. During the warmer months I have to turn them on and even then the gauges don’t illuminate only the back lighting in the dash comes on. The gauges do illuminate when the automatic lights work during the winter. It’s so weird idk what to check first. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

Default

temperature makes things expand and contract, so it could be a bad electrical connection somewhere
