Default Body Rust

I have a 2007 Uplander and live in upstate NY where we average at 100 inches of snow and 200 inches of salt. So far I don't seem to be having rust problems. My 03 Trailblazer the door lips hood etc have been rust out. Just curious if anyone has any problems with rust and where with thier Uplander

I have a 2005 model living in Alberta, Canada. Cold and snow also. They use some salt on the roads. Every Spring I take the van through a car wash that will spray and wash the undercarriage.
I wish I had undercoated the vehicle when it was new. Only costs about $200.

I keep the vehicle clean and inside a heated garage, which has some effect in slowing down the rust factor.
I have no rust showing anywhere on the vehicle, yet.

Its good you don't have a body rust Ice. Our cars stay outside most of the winter. Try to get then washed our the car wash at once every 2-3 weeks ,when its not snowing. Which can go on serval for days of snowing and road salting

I have an '08 in Cold Lake alberta, they dont use salt because it gets too cold (they barely ever sand either...). My hatch lip has quite a bit of rust on the inner crease that I only noticed when a large chunk of paint stuck to my finger when I opened it one day. Paint is also chipping from under the plastic rocker panel covers and is starting to rust, I need to get those off and remove the rust then I'll herculine them and put the covers back on. I was the undercariage regularly but they didnt seem to fix the rust prone nature of the venture when they re-vamped it into the uplander...

Default Uplander rust

I live in Central Vermont. Lots of salt.
our 06 Uplander didn't appear to have any rust till I crawled underneath a month ago to put on a 2x2 hitch. The tubular brackets that hold the lower fenders in place were so brittle with rust I was afraid they might crumble into dust. - Kind of scary to see that things are rotting away on the under carriage but visibly ok on outside appearance. Too late to oil - we're upgrading to a new one with lower miles. - JoeK
