Code p1174 "fuel trim cylinder balance"

Can you tell me the meaning of this code on a Chevrolet Uplander 2008 3.9 L

Got the word from the dealer today, on the P1174 code the system has been showing for about a year now.... bad Purge Valve, whatever that is.
