I just took possesion of a 2006 cargo version uplander. the features like courtesy lighting and automatic door-unlock are not adjustable as in the standard and upgraded vans. but some swift engineer decided to make the defaults all 'on'. which makes the cargo van very dangerous indeed. when you park in a somewhat concering area of town, you have no choice once you place the van in park the door all unlock!. also when you take the key out of the ignition at night the interior lights come on, once again posing a risk to the driver or occupants. does anyone know since none of these features even show up on the menu as the manual states they should, can i get the control chip changed or make some sort of 'easy' upgrade to get control of these silly features! help me please? thanks.
