I have a 09 Montana, driver seat cracked and ripped non power, no side bag.

bought another loaded 09 Montana (for its good transmission) same color interior same leather sides cloth center pattern. With 4-way power side air bag seat! Bottom pad really bad broken springs and busted foam!!

so I swapped the slightly cracked bottom pad from the passenger side parts van to the driver side! Turns out they are the exact same! The cover is the same part number the foam is slightly different all I see is a small hole is needed to be opened up on the side the large round plastic push plug goes into. I also fixed the broken side plastic panel.

process is remove seatbelt side trim or loosen it up, remove seat base and track, remove both bottom plastic trim covers, remove lumber cross over cable. Remove two bolts per side to pull off the top cushion assembly while feeding side air bag wire through.

then unsnap the black plastic trim and remove the cover and cushion assembly without disturbing the hog clips. Pretty easy just a few hours. Also swapped over the pasenger springs, since the drivers was broken.

panel repair both the side deep pocket tab and front tab were broken missing large plastic push pin, only held by one screw at the back. Simply drilled a 1/8” hole to put in the self tapping factory screw to what was left of the front tab, new push pin now it’s well secured!

To update this as I add the 8 wires to the sdm module, passenger side air bag top frame, and both side air bag sensors in b posts. Then reprogram sdm for side airbags.

looks like the power seat harrness is there already on the drivers side.
