Got in my pickup, was acting like battery was going dead so put key in ignition to see if it would start. Key got stuck in ignition. Got out locked doors with remote in hand, went to work, came back to jump start and remote wouldn’t unlock the door. Is there a trick to get hood open without getting in the cab?

 

Won't the key you used in ignition open door ??

the key is stuck in ignition, I had to leave so locked the door and kept my remote with me so I could get in and pop the hood to jump it when I got back and it wouldn’t open it as battery was to low.

 

Any GM dealer can make a key for you with the vin number and you must supply proof that you are the owner of the vehicle.

 

never leave your key inside the vehicle unless you have a spare on hand
did you try rotating the steering wheel
