We are traveling back from OK to AZ, we have 2% oil life on our 2016 Silverado with no place to stop for the oil change until we get home. Will this damage our engine?

 

No it will not. Check the oil level and make sure it is full. Of course you should be changing the oil at regular intervals. i change my oil at 4000 miles and believe it is well worth it to change it more often than then recommended.

 

If it keeps you up at night you should be able to find a "30 minute oil change shop" in virtually any town along the way. Just don't let them sell you a bunch of other stuff!
