Well I guess the squeaky wheel does get the grease. After talking to the salesman that sold me the car and a couple trips back and forth to the dealer, we've settled on me paying a $100 to fix it all. (cause even the extended warranty has a deductible) The other thing that may have helped me out was knowing about GM having a "goodwill" policy.

Thanks to all for the info/help. I'll let you know what the problem with the HO2 sensor was. I replaced it with a direct fit (not spliced) sensor and it still didn't fix the code.

So the dealer traced it down to a faulty wire. after a a while of "hunting" they said it was between the fuse and the sensor (that narrows it down). In any case, I hope the problem is fixed now. My scanner still shows and amber emissions light. says that the Evap, O2 sensor and Heated O2 sensor tests haven't been completed. I wounder how many miles that'll take.

I'll give a final update in a week or so.
