I have 2006 uplander 3.5L and get the p0449 code. I have changed the purge valve in the engine and the solenoid canister above the fuel tank and the code still won't reset. I do not know what else to do to reset the code. We have taken off the battery and restarted it a few times. Any suggestions?

 

p0449 is a diagnostic for the canister vent valve. supply power and grd to the valve itself and see its it clicks when energized. If not.. you probably need a vent valve.

 

Where is the evap vent valve? Please be specific. In order to access, do you need to remove the gas tank?
