Hi-Looking for a little bit of help with my 2005 base uplander. I would like to install a reversing sensor but because of the courtesy lights, cannot simply take a feed from the reversing lights. Is there a handy point somewhere where I can obtain a 12v+ supply only energised when the engine is running and reverse is selected?. I could not easily spot the reversing switch on the gearbox.

I also have the same issue with my 2008 Impala.....

 

you have to install a relay. Use the reverse light to turn the relay on, and send ignition voltage to the back-up sensors
