My 2007 Uplander sqeaks when turning the wheel,the same problem I had with a 2002 Venture. Hate the noise!! I'm told it's the seal design.

 

I have a similar problem on my 2005 Uplander. I wouldn't call my sound a squeak but rather like the sound when you rub your hand across some nylon like material. It started in my van at around 30,000Km. You don't notice the sound when you have the radio on or only when you are making large turning motions on the steering wheel. It annoys me some of the time, but not enough for me to do anything about it. I have never asked a technician to diagnose the problem, so I do not know for certain what it is.
