Default Tires

We bought a 2007 Uplander this summer. Have been very happy great gas mileage for this large a vehicle.
Would like to get some tires better for winter driving in ND but dont want tires I have to change next spring.
What is best ice and snow that I can keep on all year.
Thanks

I would pick up 4 steel rims from a wrecking yard and mount the snow tires on them. Then you can change out the tire/rim assy's easily in the spring.
Snow tires don't work nearly as well as summer (A/S) tires in warm weather and would wear out a lot faster.
Just my $0.02

Correct Papa Bear, winter tires are made for "winter" and the compound does wear faster. I picked up a set of winters for my uplander from GM $180 cdn installed per tire, they are going to charge me $17.50 cdn per tire to put my all seasons back on. Well worth it in my mind.
