Default torque tube clunk

06 uplander. It clunks going into reverse or forward, right where the driveshaft goes into the "torque tube", whatever that is. Anyone else ever have this issue?
Thanks in advance.

Same here, once you back up and moving forward, apply a brake and you can hear a clunk.

check rear mounts that hold the rear driveaxle to the rear frame.had the same issue, was the two rubber mounts that secures the drive axle unit to the rear frame.mine were both rotten.replaced them and the clunking stopped.hope this helps you out.

Finally got rid of the clunk. AWD wasn't working, changed the differential shut-off valve and the oil. AWD works again and clunk is gone.
