Hi im new to this forum .
i have an 06 chevy uplander lt
My transmission started jercking after red light stops this week.
When checked fluid level it was overfilled by previous owners
Havent driven car all week exept yesterday then the car will not shift gear it sounds like whininh humming n wont back up n barely goes forward.
today i opened pan to take off some fluid or replace it i did so n car ran a bit very bit better .
here is my issue
When i droped trans fluid pan .beside metal small pieces i found 2 big chunks of metal that might be from inside check pics attached plz .
I had to stop to rethink .
Should i still dump $50 and hope itll work or transmission is gone .???

you may have better luck posting pics to an impala or g6 or etc board too... i assume the trans is very similar if not identical.
how many miles on it? anything else wrong with it?
obviously its not ideal to find large pieces like that and your trans is likely now on borrowed time.
hopefully someone can id those pieces/parts but you are probably best off letting gm take a look IMO
