Xm radio vanished
I have a 2008 Uplander. I came out to a dead battery, (my fault), and had to get a jump. When I got in and turned on the radio, I noticed that the MODE button ONLY tunes in FM1, FM2 and AM. XM has completely vanished. There is no Preview channel where you call XM and have them refresh your radio. It is like I never had XM.
I called XM, and they said that the Chevy dealer needs to reset it. However, when I called them, they had never heard of that. They said it should say LOC, like the entire radio was locked out, not just XM completely gone.
Has anyone ever experience this? Please, I NEED my satellite radio back!
Thanks for any help.

check the fuses....if the xm module does not have power, you won't get the option on the radio. Otherwise bring it in and have them fix it. If its under warranty, it shouldn't cost anything.
Either the radio lost programing, or the xm module is pooched.

The radio fuse is ok, as the radio will pick up FM1, FM2 and AM. I don't see in the manual a fuse number for the XM radio.
Anyone know which one this would be?
It will be covered under the warranty, however, the taking in and waiting isn't in the schedule for a couple of weeks.
Thanks!

Instrument Panel Fuse Box, labelled RFA MDLS Fuse #7 rated at 10 amps
You may also try to unplug it for a few moments and plug it back in if the fuse is still good. It is located directly above the gas pedal. Kind of a pain to get to. You'll see a silver box with a geen-ish coax connector and a black 16(?) pin plug

Sometimes, just disconnecting the battery for a few minutes can reset the car's electronics, which might fix your XM radio. Unplug the battery, wait about 10 minutes, then plug it back in. This could help reset the radio system. If the XM radio comes back but you still can't get any channels, you might need to contact SiriusXM to reactivate your radio. They'll ask for your radio's ID, which you can usually find by tuning to channel 0.
