You need to get it on a scanner so you can see exactly what the various sensors are seeing.
If you were to read post #12 it might enlighten you as to what the OP has done. Sometimes it gets down to basics, if you think everyone as a dual trace scan tool they don't. If it is a misfire, even a cheap actron will give you that. Plugs may be a bitch to pull, but hey, start somewhere.

My thoughts exactly. Took me 7.5 hours to put the new plugs and wires in/on.

I missed the part where you replaced the plugs, sorry it's the "human thing".

Have you changed where you buy your gas? Could be water.

What kind of scanner? Something that'd be left on to collect data, or just a code reader from the auto parts place?

BTW, it's gone weeks now without dying until the other day (wife is ready to shoot me and the van). STILL no codes. Time to replace the MAF?

Peace!

Default Gas?

No, I get my gas from the same few places, and it wouldn't keep doing the same thing over and over if that were the case. It's the same behavior no matter what I buy or where I get it.

OK, so I couldn't wait. Replaced the MAF. Two days later, it wouldn't start after having been run a few hours before. Next morning, fired right up... very frustrating.

OK, I'm almost 100% sure it's the 7X crank sensor wiring or connectors. I wiggle the wire up by the ignition module when it dies, and it'll fire right back up.

Default not the 7x...

So took the 7x crank sensor wiring off the vehicle - tested it like crazy, and couldn't get it to fail. So, now I'm thinking it's the connector on the ICM or the ICM itself.

Just keeping you guys posted...

Default Fixed?...

Well, I finally got around to taking off the I/M for testing. Took it into the local auto parts place, and hooked it up. Started tapping on it as the test was running as a buddy suggested, and it failed the EST test, whatever that is. Tech suggested it might stand for Electronic Spark Timing - sounded good to me. Bought a new one (~$120 w/tax), and I'm going to try it out this afternoon.

Just keeping you guys posted...

Peace!
