Post Antifreeze Boil

I replaced the Heater Core in my 05 venture. Now the I can hear the antifreeze boil in the reservoir, and the temp. gauge passes the middle line. What causes that?

Please help.

Welcome to the forum! Stop by the new member welcome area if you would like and introduce yourself!

Two things i would check Your thermostat, and your water pump! I would try thermostat first as it is cheaper and easy to replace!

I would also say that you have air trapped in the system.

Interesting, I thought air would work its way out. Is it like that on all models.

That makes sense Gary, thanks, I need to check something on my truck then, since I flushed it a while back.
