Default missing antifreeze

I was wondering if anybody could help me figure out where my anifreeze is going in my 2003 1500HD crewcab. It has the 6.0 motor with just over 69,000 miles.I have pulled the dip stick and my oil level is fine.I haven't noticed any wet spots on my shop floor either.Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks

Default RE: missing antifreeze

My Brother work with chevy and he and I own 1500 5.8's and he has told me its a common problem for the intake to leak but I dont know how or if it gets into oil. Maybe it slow enough it just burn out of the oil. My is doing it too, my light just came on this weekend after I had fill it in Dec.

I know of a truck stop oil change shop that performs a oil analysis on a sample of oil and can tell if anitfreeze is in the oil.

Amsoil does it through the mail for about $25.00 and this truck stop in Portland does it for $14.00. The plus side is it will tell you how much your engine is wearing on you after you start a charater chart off the second and subsequent samples.
