Question ODB II Freeze Frame Data Help

Hi,

Could anyone knows what kind of "fault" is ODB II freeze frame data is referring to?

What would be possible causes? solutions?

Freeze frame item and value:
GM.ENGINE.12SOL 1-2 Solenoid --- Fault
GM.ENGINE.EVAP_VSOL EVAP Vent Solenoid --- Fault
GM.ENGINE.EVAP_PRG EVAP Purge Solenoid --- Fault

Thank you!!!

the freeze frame data is the actual data stored at the time of the fault or failed test.

post the alpha-numeric diagnostic trouble code that has set. From what you have posted; looks like you have 1 transmission code and 2 Evap monitor codes.

The format for the code will be a P0 or P1 follow by 3 digets ie. p0420 or p1760

freeze frame data is only recorded when a code is set.

What are you using to retrieve this information; a laptop based scan tool?

Yes, it's laptop based scan tool. I could try to rerun scans.

And yes I tried reading data live and got same things showing up as faulty despite no codes where set.

What were you trying to solve if the check engine light is not on?

Not trying to solve, but trying to understand why something is at faulty state. I try to be proactive on that old car rather than reactive.

then there is nothing wrong with you car. Your laptop/scan tool is giving you red herrings. Cheaper laptop based units don't convert the data like a scan tool will. It may be reporting a fail for a test that the task manager doesn't run
