I am having a problem with my side passenger door lock. It is electric and I can hear the lock mechanism but the door is not unlocking. Can anyone out there help me, please???? I'm pretty sure I can do the work if I know what to do as I have worked on vehicles (my own/childrens) for years but could not get a manual for this. Thanks.

 

there are metal rods going from the motor to the locking plate that have plastic clips that break and the rod comes loose and wont unlock the door also those plates have return springs if they broke it wont release the clamps to let you open the door you have to take the door panel off to see what went wrong if you can hear the door lock motor working my guess is the plastic clip broke and the rod came loose from the plate
